After time for swimming, a funny afternoon playing with the water of Halong Bay, we were back to our big halong cruise and were surprised by a complete set up for a small party on the sundeck. The party was not very “rich of food”, just some snacks to fulfill the empty stomachs after swimming, some cans of beers, two bottles of red wines and some fresh fruits. But the more surprising part wasn’t this, it hadn’t come yet.
Our tables were set up elegantly on the spacious sundeck of the cruise and we noticed that the captain was looking for a “nice place” to let the cruise stop; he would soon make us surprised. Finally, the cruise found a place to stay for a while. It was a spectacular place of the bay, where there are some big islands to the left reveals some nice afternoon sunlight shining through and to the right side, a panoramic view of the bay opens with majestic shapes of island in distance.
In the sun, we were having a great party and celebrating great moment with our team-mates. Cheers were made and photos of smiles were taken. And then, it’s the time for the best part. We were almost breathless when over the horizon; the sun was gradually turning red and descending to the sea. The sky was showing a spectacular light performance that I couldn’t describe how beautiful it was. It was the magical color combinations, some passionate reds, some gorgeous violet matches with some vigorous yellow. For some minutes, we stopped laughing, stopped chatting, and just enjoyed the sun, the sky and the bay. If it was an art work, it would a masterpiece, and it was actually an incredible masterpiece of the Creator. We knew for sure, it was a moment of our lifetime, when we celebrate the natural beauty in a great team spirit. We loved our team mates, loved our Halong Bay and loved our country more than ever before. It’s true to say a real beauty has enough power to let people be close together.
Thank Starlight Cruise for an amazing set up for a very special experience of sunset on Halong Bay. We did appear in the right place, at the right time to witness one of the most magical moment of nature. Now we know Starlight Cruise’s captain must have understood Halong Bay a lot to choose such this great position for us to watch sunset.
