understands that to provide a luxury cruise is not only to provide modern
facilities and sumptuous furniture but also to feature truly world class
services, which are decided mostly by onboard staffs. Thus, the company
invested a lot of money and time to do training the staffs to be the best ones
in each area they do, from chefs to receptionists and guides onboard, etc.
In March, Oriental
Sails Company did organize a comprehensive training course for the staffs
onboard by an experienced staff from the best five star hotel in Hanoi, Sofitel
Legend Metropole Hanoi and a tourism and hospitality lecturer. This training
course is aimed to true impact on service quality onboard, so Oriental Sails
Company decided to invite the trainers to experience onboard for 10 days to
witness daily service, advice to improve and train special skills for the crew.
This is much more practical than short time training with verbal lecture only.
A sharp improvement has
been seen after the training course. Staffs in every position are much more
confident in their work, and received more compliment from guests, even the
demanding guests from the Europe. In order to ensure service quality as a true
luxury cruise, Oriental Sails are organizing more regularly training courses to
maintain quality.
