Halong weather in April

Vietnam is a place of wonders. One of the places of Vietnam which is quite famous among the tourists and is marked as one of the favourites of them is the Halong Bay. It is an extremely beautiful place and people like to visit the place often and the crowd is huge during the summer months.


Halong Bay is located in the Quang Ninh province of Vietnam and it actually is a part of the city with the same name as that of the bay; Ha Long city and is under the district of Van Don. It has a rich history of limestone found in this region and carious stones are found in this bay of various shapes and sizes.

Halong Bay has only two seasons which marks the place. One of the seasons is hot and moist summer, the summer is marked with the hotness coming from the sun and also the precipitation level is quite on the higher side. Another season that marks the bay is the dry and cold winter, the winter season is quite on the colder side but again unlike many parts of Vietnam the bay offers you a dry winter which is quite favourable. The winter season show less amount of precipitation level and so is the low level of rainfall.

 Due to the two seasons present Halong bay shows a tropical wet climate, the islands are flanked by the sea and thus the temperature is quite moderate during maximum times of the year. The average temperature of the place ranges from fifteen degree Celsius to twenty five degree Celsius. The rainfall ranges quite in the higher side from 2000mm till 2200 mm. The region is flanked by high tidal waves and it ranges for about 3.5-4m thus you can imagines the tides are quite huge.

With April the summer season slowly starts playing its role and the temperature of the Halong Bay slowly rises to an average temperature of about twenty seven degree Celsius. The temperature is still not that high and is moderate due to the presence of the water bodies present around. At night the average temperature of twenty seven degree Celsius drops a bit too about twenty one degree Celsius. Recently there have been some fluctuations in temperature in the month of April, the highest that has been recorded is about thirty six degree centigrade and in some rare cases the temperature has even dropped till about ten degree centigrade. The average humidity is at a rise about 90% and the rainfall thus rises a bit. You as a tourist can enjoy the sun for not less than seven hours and thus you can enjoy the light as well as the heat for long hours.
